Ametrine

Quality Gems

ametrine

On this page you will find quality cut Ametrine. All stones are cut to precise angles for maximum brilliance and polished to a mirror finish. Ametrine is a combination of purple amethyst and yellow citrine. This poplar gem is mined commercially in Bolivia and has only been available since the 1980's. The two colors allow the cutter to create stones with striking zonal patterns. As with all quartz, ametrine has a hardness of 7 and it is practical for any jewlery application.
